This past week I upgraded my studio computer (2012 Mac Book Pro) to El Capitan but when I reconnected my audio interface (Focusrite Saffire 40 - -audio-interfaces/saffire-pro-40) the firewire port doesn't seem to pick up the audio interface. The audio interface is not being recognized by the OS. I didn't see the interface in the Audio/Midi area, I ran the audio interface's software and it is recognizing that the Saffire 40 is connected. I'm at my witt's end because I have a client coming in for a recording session within the coming week and I can't seem to solve the problem. Is there a problem with El Capitan that cause the firewire to not be recognized Prior to upgrading the system was working perfectly. HELP!!!!!

To let others know, I was able to solve my problem. Focusrite's website provided a program to uninstall all components of it's Saffire 40 software from the Mac Book and I reinstalled the Saffire Mix Control 3.6 and upgraded the Saffire 40 firmware. Now my audio interface and Mac Book Pro works great together.
